Red Rose Ball Committee to host Black and White Affair in Paradise - May 15th

By Oswald Ellis, RRB Committee
Freeport, Bahamas - The Red Rose Ball Committee and Partner Paradise Jewels will host a BLACK & WHITE AFFAIR, featuring the house band for the evening “The Matrix” which will be held on Saturday, May 15th, 2010 beginning at 7:30 p.m. This partnership not only aids in the revitalization of the International Bazaar as the Arcade will serve as host venue, but our continued efforts as we encourage the community to take a stand in helping us in the fight against HIV/AIDS on the island of Grand Bahama.

This disease challenges all of us and every country in the world has had to address the issue of HIV/AIDS and finding sufficient human and financial resources to combat this problem.

To combat HIV/AIDS requires the forging of partnership locally, regionally and internationally. We have now come to recognize that HIV/AIDS is more than a medical or scientific problem, but one that has consequences. This event is recognition of this and it would not be possible without the partnership of the private, non-governmental and governmental sectors. As the call goes out globally the need for partners becomes more important.

The event is a fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting AIDS Education through the Grand Bahama AIDS Awareness Committee. Our platform for the past two years has been to construct a building in Grand Bahama to assist the committee with this venture of AIDS Education.

We wish to thank all of our supporters for their support in the past and the future to come, especially our new found partner for this event Mr. Chris Paine proprietor of Paradise Jewels and the group of stores in the Bazaar. We will feature our supporting stores on this site in the weeks leading up to the event.

Tickets for the event are $50.00 and can be purchased at 1.9.6 The Experience, International Bazaar Arcade or any Red Rose Ball Committee member.

There will be lots of raffle prizes and door surprises to win during our In-House raffle at a cost of $5.00 per ticket, but there is a ‘catch’ you MUST be at the event to win these prizes.

You can definitely count on an exciting evening of fun while supporting a worthy cause.

This evening will be filled with music, dancing and festivities!

We look forward to your continued support and hope to see you at this Cocktail Reception themed “ A BLACK & WHITE AFFAIR IN PARADISE”. Again, I wish to thank the Grand Bahama Community and all of our other supporters for lending their support in the fight against HIV/AIDS on Grand Bahama.
