Hon. Zhivargo Laing, MP, Minister of State for Finance

GRAND BAHAMA, Bahamas -- The national spotlight will shine on Grand Bahama Island on Thurs Feb 25, 2010 when some 12 carefully selected leaders from government, business and healthcare will share their insights, strategies, plans and projections for the leading sectors of the Grand Bahamian economy at the Grand Bahama Business Outlook.

This annual one-day forum organized by the TCL Group has stood the test of time and is now in its 12th year with the theme, “Take Action Now - 2010-2020: A Decade for Action and Accountability”. The conference will be held at Portobello, Our Lucaya and begins at 8:30am.

"We are sensitive to the fact that Grand Bahama's economy has remained static or in decline for a number of years and Grand Bahamians despite their resilience need to know what happens next and what action they should take now,” said conference chairman, Joan Albury. “This awareness and sensitivity has informed the sectors we have chosen to focus on this year and experts selected to present."
