FREEPORT - In an effort to encourage residents to shop locally, Freeport Jewelers is launching another exciting fashion show on Saturday Feb 6th to promote businesses here on Grand Bahama.

Ms Wells-Madu said the event is being held in conjunction with Animale, Traffic, and Bandolero, and Curiosity Shop - at the Mansion on Bahamas Drive on February 6.

"It is going to be fantastic," she said. "We did a show in December called 'Elegance with an Attitude' and it was a huge success."

"We're doing it again trying to encourage Bahamians to shop right here. We are saying to the public you don't have to go abroad you can shop at home as we offer great savings and lovely items here," she said.

According to Ms Wells-Madu, Freeport Jewelers carries many modern styles in fashion jewelry, including Rebecca, Casato, Matthias & Claire, Marahlago, and stunning diamond and precious stone Jewelry Collections.

She said the show was created to promote business. They will donate part proceeds from this fashion show to the Haitian Relief Fund.

"Business has fallen off since last year and the year before. It has been a slow decline, but we are trying to do things to excite the public.

"We think this is one way to promote business and we thought it would be a good idea to do it in conjunction with different stores here."

"Red Hot Couture" will allow residents to see what we offer, and from the money raised we will donate part proceeds to help earthquake victims of Haiti," she said.

Tickets for the event may be purchased at Freeport Jewelers. Freeport Jewelers is a family owned Bahamian company, with stores in the International Bazaar and The Port Lucaya Marketplace.
