Cracked conch from Zelmas, Macleans Town
Drive out east- Pine trees
Whoop Whoop! Today is a public holiday here, specifically, Discovery/Columbus Day.
"Recently there has been a drive to change the name of this Holiday from Columbus Day to Hero’s Day in honour of Bahamian National Heroes. To this end a small ceremony is held in Rawson Square, downtown Nassau, in honour of Bahamian National Heroes."

Funny, Why don't we have a celebration here? Or do we? Let me know if I'm mistaken.
Anyhow, Just wanted to let you know that the Famous Conch Cracking contest is ON TODAY, October 12th in Mcleans Town.
It's a wonderful drive down east, get there early, take lots of cash, arrive with stomachs empty, Lots of suncreen , a camera & good friends & family. Don't forget to check out the Best Yard in Grand Bahama, you'll wonder how it's kept so beautiful.
HAVE FUN, here are some pictures of my trip down to Macleans Town Last week Saturday. P.S, Make sure you try some of Zelmas Cracked Conch- It's LIKE butter, only tastier.
Happy Discovery day!!
