Last night on Sunday August 9th on The Great Lawn at The Raddisson Our Lucaya, 84 stunning Miss Universe contestants wowed the sellout crowd under a lavishly decorated marquee.
Grand Bahamians, visiting tourists and the media, gathered to watch the ladies strut the runway in bikinis exclusively designed for the Miss Universe Contestants by BSC Swimwear & Exquisite gold heels by NINA footwear The official footwear for the pageant.
After a day filled with touring the island and exclusive access by media, The ladies showed no sign of weariness.
Miss Bahamas, Kiara Sherman as the host contestant got a rousing standing ovation as she came out on the runway, looking stunning and working the audience, there was no doubt that she was on her home turf.
Miss Great Britain, Clair Cooper seemed as fiery as her red hair. Stirring up the crowd by showing that she had learnt a few Bahamian dance moves, strutting confidently, and running her hands through her hair she certainly built up her support as the crowd thoroughly enjoyed her performance.
Miss Philippines, Bianca Manalo, Miss Turks & Caicos, Jewel Selver, Miss Jamaica, Carolyn Yapp, Miss USA, Kristen Dalton & Miss China, Jingyao Wang also got the crowd on their feet with appreciation for their vibrant personalities that showed through on stage.
The last contestant of the evening on stage was Miss Zambia, Andella Chileshe Matthews,
with curly hair & petite in size, she generated whistling & applause from the sold out crowd. She's possibly a strong contender for the Miss Universe title.
