BAHAMAS TRAVEL NEWS UPDATE

BAHAMAS TRAVEL NEWS UPDATE

Need to Quarantine Eliminated

Dear All,

I know its been hard to follow the Travel Requirements with so many changes, so I wanted to let everyone know that the Mandatory 14-day Quarantine has been removed as of November 1, 2020.

You still need a negative RT PCR COVID PCR test, no older than 5 days before travel to enter The Bahamas. Visitors will be required to purchase health insurance as of November 14th, 2020, as part of the Health Visa needed to enter. If a person tests positive and exhibits symptoms, they will be evacuated to their home country. Travelers who are staying in The Bahamas for more than four nights/five days will be required to take a rapid COVID-19 antigen test.

In a press statement, The Hon. Dionisio D'Aguilar, Minister Of Tourism for the Commonwealth of The Bahamas said,  "I want to start my remarks this morning with a definitive statement. Effective tomorrow, Sunday 1 November 2020, The Bahamas will be removing the mandatory 14 day quarantine as promised. Foreign visitors will be welcomed to our country, to stay at our hotels, to go to our beaches, to enjoy some of our world famous excursions and activities and, most importantly, to abide by our health and safety protocols."
